CATCHING UP

After a year's sabbatical, I finally feel like writing again. I have a pile of messy notes for this blog. Many were written in the dark when I was trying to fall asleep but my mind wouldn't let me. If I turn on the light the thoughts go away. They are not going to follow any particular chronological order.

The first one is going to upset my caretaking son, Paul, and perhaps others but it happened. I told you that I spent a lot of time in Port Aransas on the Gulf beaches having great fun. What I didn't tell you is that we used to ride up and down the beach in a Jeep running over jelly fish just to hear them pop. Of course, now I know that was wrong and I'm not pleased about it, but I just thought you should know. (Hanging head in shame)

When I worked in San Antonio Earl Abel's on Broadway was the place to eat and meet. Many of our friends went there and the food was really good. The had a sign over the counter in the short order room which read..."Seville dare dago. Tousin buses inaro. Nojo, demis trux. Summit cowsan summit dux."   Just read it phonetically.
